Carrie Underwood Supports Humane Society Terrorism?American Idol star Carrie Underwood is donating a portion of the proceeds from her new single to the Humane Society of the United States, and getting accused of supporting “animal rights terrorists.” One of my favorite lines so far: “Carrie Underwood may think she is supporting puppies and kittens, but she needs to understand that she is supporting domestic terrorists instead.”

Let’s pause for a second and take a look at how idiotic this has all become. The Center for Consumer Freedom needed a hilarious flow chart to attempt to connect HSUS to “terrorism,” and failed miserably. Now, Carrie Underwood is being smeared as a terrorist for being “connected” to HSUS and, as Ecorazzi reports, the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance is trying to put pressure on Fox. What’s next?

Underwood’s single, “Home Sweet Home,” is a cover of a Motley Crue song. Maybe that means they can go after Tommy Lee for supporting terrorism, too? (I mean, he also produced that, ahem, “terrorist training video” with PETA spokesperson Pamela Anderson).

It wasn’t long ago when HSUS donated money to an “eco-terrorism” witch hunt in California, hoping to protect themselves from this kind of guilt by association. They gave the green light to the Green Scare in the hopes of saving their own behinds.

What do you all think? Did HSUS get its money’s worth?

I hate that people are condemning Carrie Underwood for this! I am also a vegetarian and support animal rights. This is the girl that made me see that it's okay for standing up for what you believe in, even if other people don't agree with you. And now you are telling her that it's not! There is nothing wrong with this! And the fact that you are even mentioning Carrie's name in the same sentence as the word "terrorist" is just ludicrous! You should be applauding her for supporting animal protection and the Humane Society of the United States! I think you owe her a BIG apology!

A populace fed on the "bread and circuses" of popular culture, will remain willfully ignorant and compliant. The hear the word 'freedom' and they feel all warm and fuzzy and relax back into their stupor. Yes, people really are that stupid, and it's up to activist to make a little noise and wake them up.
  • well...
does anyone take the CCF seriously? are people really that stupid??
  • Carrie Underwood should be commended for her support of animal protection. The HSUS is a well-respected and mainstream organization that is supported by 11 million Americans. As for the so-called "Center for Consumer Freedom", this industry front group represents tobacco, alcohol and agribusiness interests, and its stock-in-trade involves taking aim at organizations that promote food safety, public health, or animal welfare. It started with a $600,000 grant from tobacco giant Phillip Morris, and CCF has even attacked Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for their anti-drunk driving and public health campaigns.

HSUS is garbage and it speaks volumes about how utterly moronic the vast majority of Americans are. The masses are this damn stupid, and we're supposed to politely request they stop massacring animals? What absurdity. The time for politeness has long since passed. We owe it to the BILLIONS of animals suffering in agony to make gains for them in the quickest ways possible--not the most acceptable.

hahaha....I live 40 minutes away from Checotah, OK, her hometown, and vegetarians are considered "terrorists"to most around here.lol.
  • thats funny, bloodthirsty hunters calling the humane society "terrorists". what kind of crazy logic is it to call someone who wants to prevent violence a "terrorist"?. hunters have a sense of entitlement just like slave owners did.

is that conservative site the only source? has the ccf released anything?
  • Yeah, I saw this article about it yesterday http://americandaily.com/index.php/article/948 in my little alerts I get. I was so annoyed with the idiocy of the person writing it that I didn't even bother thinking more about it. I was sure you'd end up writing something anyways.

I can only hope that human beings on the whole are smarter than this and will see how ridiculous this terrorism thing is getting... Carrie Underwood?

    I can't say I am entirely optimistic.
