URGENT: AETA on Track to Pass House Today

in Terrorism Legislation

The Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act is on the suspension calendar to pass the House today. The suspension calendar is for “non-controversial” bills, so lawmakers can pass a bunch of them at once and save time. Considering the vast First Amendment implications of this bill, and the number of groups that have opposed, it’s particularly outrageous that the bill could snuck through the House, without even a voice vote.

A long list of animal groups have come out and opposed this legislation, including the ASPCA, Humane Society of the United States and many, many others.

Find your representatives and let them know how you feel about this bill.
