John is best known as a CCF spokesperson, but also acts as an executive for PR firm Ruder Finn. Recently, Ruder Finn boasted of their "strong commitment to Israel", a country that carries out a policy of extermination against an indigenous people fighting for emancipation. It's not surprising to see that the same people who are trying to turn around the term "terrorism" here onto the animal liberation movement are promoting state terrorism against a liberation movement on the other side of the world. I'd like to mention that this image was in fact taken of me in October 2004 in NJ. Sadly I could count the number of times I've been to Philly on one hand and have never been associated with any of those groups even though my heart goes out to all of them except HSUS. This add being completely absurd shouldn't be unexpected as the last full page NY Times add they ran "I Control Wall Street" featured someone in a leather coat. Pretty pathetic for a media/ PR company or what ever you want to call them. The CCF while trying to hamper our cause really can only effect groups such as HSUS that are completely donor based. When they ran I Control Wall Street all they really did was scare of HLS investors that some person (in a leather coat) was coming for them. Kind of funny really that the opposition paid upwards of a few hundred thousand dollars to hurt their own customer. I find it further hysterical that despite Wayne Pacelle's egregious salary, HSUS will likely be the only group that could be financially impacted by this add even after Wayne pointing his finger at the grassroots and calling us the terrorists. Really it's the grassroots right down to the rescues and sanctuaries that starve because of this wal-mart sized corporate quasi welfare conglomerate. Things like this might even further help our cause as people who would feel now concerned about donating to HSUS might give there money to small organizations with hands on results to helping animals and not the pocket packers of hurricane Katrina that put bounties out on animal liberationists. While it's always nice to see my picture again I really deserve it less then many others and know there are many unsung champions of the animal rights and liberation movement. Some activists from that same demo are even glad it's not their picture that was used but personally I could careless. The bottom line is that I'm no one special it is you who can make the difference, you who make us strong, you and your actions seen or unseen that I heart and admire.
