Ever since the passing of the AETA, I've been so disgusted with both parties and have little hope for the future and I don't think anything will change when/if the Democrats win the White House. I guess we should just get used to it. But I have to admit, I love hearing stories about ELF destroying property, honestly, it's so courageous, especially in this time of fear mongering, although we may never know for sure who set the fire. They apparently are not going to investigate anything other than eco-terrorism, the lazy bastards. I, of course, agree with everything you’ve said Will and I am getting so sick of it. With the number of school shootings in this country -- where people are actually injured and killed -- I'd be much more scared at a school than among ARAs or environmentalists. There are dozens of definitions of terrorism in use by various agencies, but one common thread is the use of violence to instill fear and affect conduct. I don't think crimes like this meet those qualifications: *They may be extreme but have not harmed anyone (and in the past, precautions have sucessfully been taken to make sure that they do not harm anyone) *The purpose, which is clear from the communiques and press statements, is not to instill fear or change government conduct. Quite the contrary, it is simply to use economic sabotage: not going after people, but going after profits. Best, Will Joe:
