I agree that people and property are not of equal worth. However, when you take something away from someone whether by theft or destruction, you have effectively taken away the part of their life that they dedicated to obtaining that item. Non-violent means non-violent; not slightly violent, but not targeting humans directly.

The organization is filled to the brim with criminals and corruption.

The USDA doesn’t like PETA because the USDA is virtually owned and operated by the meat, dairy and pharmaceutical industries.

i find it insane that PETA is trying to hold fast food franchises accountable for cattle and poultry processing which is regulated by USDA guidelines dont get me wrong i respect the fact that people want to end the suffering of animals however thats about as stupid as blaming someone that ordered a pizza because the delivery driver ran down a pedistrian. fast food joints do not regulate how livestock is processed if PETA has got an issue with cruel treatment gripe at the USDA they set the rules not McDonalds

how can they possibly say that they are non-violent protestors? They come up and PHYSICALLY ASSAULT people they disagree with rather than just shout their piece? They threw a pie laced with CAYANNE PEPPER in some poor author's face just because she was speaking on her book about vegans/vegetarians in March 2010! I pray she presses charges. FFS throwing a pie in the face or damaging someone's fur?! Gues what people…that's ASSAULT! That's not peaceful protest. I say throw the dumb bastards in prison for doing such acts. Better yet, I'd love to read how someone didn't take too kindly to the “prank” and whupped the ignorant screwhead's ass. Maybe if they got more violent/legal response they'd be a bit more fearful of doing something stupid.
