Yet those who bomb abortion clinics purposely aim to extinguish human life with an act of violence, where as environmental and animal rights activists choose to make it known that these are non-violent acts aimed at an infrastructure. Human life is not just a meaningless variable in the equation for these individuals, it is the purpose for which they do these actions.

Is there anyone writing a response to this article that is using self-manufactured electricity to power their computer? Seems odd that everyone is so gung-ho on the environmental track, and yet don’t seem to lose any sleep over using the fruits of capitalism, like a computer, car, etc. And if there are any smokers in the audience, do you grow your own tobacco and make your own papers? How much environmental damage is caused by that industry, yet all I hear about is the medical danger of smoking a cigarette.
I believe Mr. Luers is free to speak his mind, in any forum. I had more respect for him when he sat in a tree protesting the clear-cutting of forest-land. Property crimes of this nature, by comparison, are acts of cowardice. I believe most of the leaders (past and present) of civil disobedience would find his and Mr. Marshall’s actions shameful and self-destructive. I find his actions no less reprehensible than the religious nut-jobs that fire-bomb abortion clinics.

I am also outraged, he should be made to serve his entire 22 years. @ IThinkJoeIsAPaidTroll..you have to change your name, I am not paid to post here or am I a troll. I am however someone who truly cares for this planet and has worked very hard to make sure the laws in place protect it are obeyed. All Luers has done is set some fires and terrorize people.
