I'll bet excess male hormones would. I believe for most people homosexuality is not a choice. As for lesbians, maybe the hormones keep a fetus female at that crucial stage when the fetus could go either way with a hypothalmus that desires females. What about transexuals? The hormones could cause the body to be one sex and the brain to be that of a different sex, going one stage further than being simply gay. Who knows? Even the medical community hasn't figured that puzzle out so how can you say definitively that hormones don't have an effect? Better safe than sorry. When I was little, it got me to stop eating pork, and i haven't had any since (i didnt become totally vegetarian until later). Pigs are my favorite animal, and when i saw that commercial with the kids freeing the pigs it made my heart sing with joy. I actually started to cry because i was so happy that there were a lot more people trying to save my most beloved of creatures from being slaughtered. When i read this, however, it made me extremely sad. It just pains me to see people bashing one's ideals. If the Hillshire Farms can advertise their "go meat!" slogan, why cant we advertise our opposite ideals? It hurts me to see that we're seen as being affeminate, when in reality all walks of life can choose to stop eating meat. They don't have to love animals, or wear "hippie" style clothes (which a lot of people i know seem to think vegans/vegetarians do for some reason) they just have to know that the suffering of another living thing is WRONG, and afterall, aren't we all taught as children to do what we think it right? I'm just happy to know there are people in this world who really do care about the enviroment and the animals, because if they don't who will? I just wish that our government actually DID care, instead of pretending like they do to keep us fat and happy while slowly stealing ... ahem i mean "liberating" us from our freedoms. Sigh.
