Joe,
It seems to me that McGowan is labeled a “political prisoner” when it’s convenient for the government and animal rights opponents, such as when his case was called a “victory” in the War on Terrorism and press releases were sent out about this political victory. But now that he’s sitting in prison, you and others want to say “Oh no, this isn’t political.” You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

Someone needs to tell Daniel that he is a prisoner and not a “political prisoner”, or are all arsonist political prisoners?
