This looks like an interesting event. Marie Mason was arrested recently and charged with a 1999 arson at Michigan State University, and subsequently had her co-defendant become a government informant. Derrick Jensen is a wonderful author, and his writing blends a wide variety of issues, including environmental and civil liberties concerns.
They’re holding a […]

Deb over at Invisible Voices sent a link to a wonderful photography project by Christopher LaMarca called “Forest Defenders.”
LaMarca says:.
I have been photographing these activists and loggers since the summer of 2003. My connection to this project revolves around the passion and endless work that consumes these people who live in the back-country for […]

I got a kick out of how this Norwegian enviro/animal/anarchist group took a scare-mongering ad campaign, used to label activists as “terrorists” in major media outlets, and spun it into activist propaganda.
[UPDATE: From a comment on this blog post, I learned that this flier was actually created by the UK chapter of the group […]

OMG, the May issue of Elle is the “Green Issue” and has an article on these, like, Al-Qaeda environmentalists! Srsly. I mean, call the Japanese whalers complete hypocrites.
So, you remember how whalers held members of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society hostage when the activists boarding the whaling boat in order to deliver a letter? Well now the whalers have turned to physical violence, shooting Paul Watson, captain of […]

Unfortunately the little mainstream media coverage of so-called “eco-terrorism” has been the unquestioning use of the T-word to describe sabotage and property crimes. (The recent cases in Seattle and now in Michigan are great examples of the press getting so wrapped up in the sexiness of that story that civil liberties implications are nowhere to […]

Attention FBI and DHS. It’s time to raise the color-coded threat level. It seems the vegan “eco-terrorists” have joined forces with the “A-rab terrorists” (pronounced ayyy-rahb, with a Texas twang), and started Hezbollah Tofu. Their target of opportunity is Anthony Bourdain, the chef who called vegetarians “terrorist scum.” Their terrorist tactic: vegan versions of classic […]
