I think this whole debate points to the fact that calling someone a terrorist has become the most fashionable ad-hominem attack of the decade. The words "terror," "terrorist," and "terrorism" have been applied so broadly that these words have lost their original impact. In my opinion, this lack of respect for a word's true meaning leads to a lack of reverence for people who really did lose their lives to terrorism.

I think you have terrorism confused with criminal property damage. Which can, admittedly, be up to a class b felony, but you'd have to let a lot of minks out of their cages to do 20,000$ worth of damage. These laws are bullshit expansions of power. Adequate laws existed to prosecute destruction of property long before anyone decided to call it terrorism. And frankly, a couple of hippies with a pair of bolt cutters being compared to the bastards who light up crowded markets with machine guns or drive cars full of high explosives into places of worship is dumb and an insult to every innocent person who has ever been a victim of terrorist violence.

In any sane world damaging some other persons property would be a civil matter, or maybe a criminal matter if it endangered other people or put someone's home or livlihood at risk. But Terrorism? If you want to call it terrorism go spend a couple of hours looking at the broken, shredded bodies left behind by bombs and think good and hard if letting animals out of cages fits into the same class.

sure it's terrorism but they never hurt anybody, neither did the animals.
If the end result is better than what's going on now, is it really causing terror?
