I’ll be speaking in Minneapolis, Minn., on Thursday, December 7 about the Green Scare, the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act and all of this “eco-terrorism” rhetoric. Here’s a poster for the event. If you’re in the area and can attend, I hope to meet you there.
Fight the Green Scare! A panel discussion on the Green Scare, the “War on Terror”, and it’s effect on communities of resistance. Featuring- Will Potter-Washington, DC based Journalist who closely follows and reports on the SHAC7 and Green Scare cases. Leslie James Pickering,Co-founder of the Earth Liberation Front Press Office, has acted as spokesperson for several high profile ELF actions. Thursday December 7 Jack Pine Community Center 2815 E. Lake St Minneapolis Dinner/Letter writing to prisoners 6pm Panel begins at 7pm followed by a Q&A All proceeds to benefit recent “Green Scare” defendants and prisoners. $10-$25 sliding scale, and of course NO ONE turned away due to lack of funds.
hey found the flyer for the spaeking event at jack pine on myspace. i am from minneapolis lived in tucson helping out with the Earthfirst Jounal! for a while and know traveling in south america. Just wondering how the turn out was in minneapolis. hope peoplo made it out.

Hi Willow. The event went really well. There was a good turnout at the University of St. Thomas (especially considering it was during finals week!) and the panel discussion at the Jack Pine went well, with a packed room. Safe travels, Will
