Could This Legislation Label You a “Terrorist”?

Could the legislation pending in Congress really label you a terrorist?
I’ve posted a detailed, step-by-step look at the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act to help folks answer that question. It’s a plain English examination of what, exactly, the law does, and how it could impact all activists, of all social movements.
It’s much longer than a typical blog post, so I have also posted a pdf file to make it easier to read and share. Please let me know what you think.

Will,
Thanks to you, this issue has been getting some ink; I appreciate your in-depth look at this and the interviews you’ve been giving. If the fact that I am the only person to comment on this story is any indication, I fear activists are doomed. Why aren’t we making more of a fuss? Indeed, why aren’t we for the moment focusing our energy on this RIGHT NOW, rather than engaging in the welfarist v. abolitionist debate? This Act threatens to hinder our ability to advocate for animals, and if we don’t come together in solidarity, our cause could be lost.
